This document specifies the required data for lamps and luminaires for the verification of conformity to the requirements of EN 1838. This document does not define the data requirements for signage, as these can be found in EN 1838.
This document can be used in conjunction with EN 13032-1 and EN 13032-4.
This document specifies the requirements for emergency lighting with or without a replaceable light source. For luminaires with a non-replaceable light source data should always be given for the luminaire. For luminaires with a replaceable light source, light source data should be provided in addition to luminaire data.
NOTE    Product, safety and performance data can be found in CENELEC documents (see Bibliography).

Dieses Dokument legt die erforderlichen Daten von Lampen und Leuchten fest, die für eine Überprüfung der Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen nach EN 1838 benötigt werden. Dieses Dokument definiert nicht die notwendigen Angaben für die Kennzeichnung, da diese in EN 1838 enthalten sind.
Dieses Dokument wird in Verbindung mit EN 13032-1 und EN 13032-4 verwendet.
Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen für Notbeleuchtung mit oder ohne ersetzbare Lichtquelle fest. Bei Leuchten mit nicht ersetzbarer Lichtquelle sollten die Daten stets für die Leuchte angegeben werden. Bei Leuchten mit ersetzbaren Lichtquelle sollten zusätzlich zu den Leuchtendaten auch die Lichtquellendaten angegeben werden.

Le présent document spécifie les données requises pour les lampes et les luminaires en vue de la vérification de la conformité aux exigences de l’EN 1838. Il ne définit pas les exigences relatives aux données concernant la signalétique car elles sont indiquées dans l’EN 1838.
Le présent document est utilisé conjointement avec l'ISO 13032-1et l’ISO 13032-4.
Il spécifie les exigences pour un éclairage de secours comportant ou non une source de lumière remplaçable. Ta dokument določa zahtevane podatke svetlobnih virov in svetilk za preverjanje skladnosti z zahtevami standarda EN 1838. Ta dokument ne določa podatkovnih zahtev za oznake, saj so te na voljo v standardu EN 1838.
Ta dokument je mogoče uporabljati v povezavi s standardoma EN 13032-1 in EN 13032-4.
Ta dokument določa zahteve za zasilno razsvetljavo z zamenljivim svetlobnim virom ali brez njega. Pri svetilkah z nezamenljivim svetlobnim virom naj bodo vedno podani podatki za svetilko. Pri svetilkah z zamenljivim svetlobnim virom naj bodo poleg podatkov o svetilki podani tudi podatki o svetlobnem viru.

This document (EN 13032‑3:2021) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 169 “Light and
lighting”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2022, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by May 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 13032‑3:2007.
EN 13032‑3:2021 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to EN 13032‑3:2007:
— updated normative references and bibliography;
— consideration of LED technology and the change in luminaire design from lamps to light sources;
— consideration of data requirements for luminaires with replaceable and non-replaceable light
sources. This includes information on normalised and absolute photometric measurement data and
expanded maintenance factor data.
Any feedback and questions on this document should be directed to the users’ national standards body. A
complete listing of these bodies can be found on the CEN website.

Introduction
Emergency lighting for work and other places is required by National Regulations in a number of European
countries and the lighting criteria is spècifièd in EN 1838. To assist in the design of suitable emergency
lighting solutions photometric and other characteristics data are required for the selected equipment. This
document spècifiès the required data to check the conformity of the emergency lighting luminaires to
EN 1838.
