The instructions must also keep the appliance out of reach of domestic animals and children, require a check that no domestic animals are inside before use, and state that children shall not carry out cleaning or user maintenance.
Location, marking and instructions
Clause 7 also requires a clear statement when the intended locations for use are limited to fewer places than the general warning text implies. In practice, if the appliance is only suitable for certain installation environments, that limit has to be stated plainly in the instructions.
Clause 3 and Clause 15 shift several statements from the phrase “by the manufacturer” to wording based on the instructions or marking on the appliance. That matters because compliance now depends on what is actually provided to the user, not only on internal manufacturer documentation.
Heating, moisture resistance and supply connection
Clause 11 removes one note about equivalent measuring instruments and changes other wording so that some information is taken from the instructions. Clause 15 makes similar wording changes for moisture resistance, and Clause 25 removes manufacturer-specific wording from the supply connection and external flexible cord addition. These edits tighten the link between test conditions, marking, and user information.
