Plastics hoses and hose assemblies - Thermoplastics textile reinforced hydraulic type - Specification

This European standard specifies requirements for two types of textile reinforced thermoplastics hoses and hose assemblies with maximum working pressures in the range of 69 bar to 345 bar. They are suitable for use with: - petroleum and synthetic based hydraulic fluids at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +100°C; - water based hydraulic fluids at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to +70 °C. The Standard does not include requirements for end fittings. It is limited to the performance of hoses and hose assemblies.

Die Schläuche sind geeignet zur Verwendung mit: - Hydraulikflüssigkeiten auf der Basis von Erdöl und synthetischen Stoffen in einem Temperaturbereich von -40 °C bis +100 °C; - Hydraulikflüssigkeiten auf Basis von Wasser in einem Temperaturbereich von 0 °C bis + 70 °C. Die Norm enthält keine Anforderungen and die Armaturen.

La présente norme européenne établit les exigences pour deux types de tuyaux et flexibles thermoplastiques a armature textile dont la pression maximale de service est comprise entre 69 bars et 345 bars. Ces tuyaux sont destinés a etre utilisés avec: - les fluides hydrauliques synthétiques a base de pétrole selon une plage de température de -40 °C a +100 °C; - les fluides hydrauliques aqueux selon une plage de température de 0 °C a + 70°C. La norme ne contient pas d'exigences sur les raccords. Elle se limite aux performances des tuyaux et flexibles.

This document specifies the requirements and test methods for verification for hose assemblies with vapour recovery for delivery systems on petrol filling stations.
The hose assemblies with vapour recovery for delivery systems on petrol filling stations need to be capable of withstanding anticipated mechanical, thermal and chemical stressing and be resistant to the combustible liquids used in these applications as well as their vapour and vapour air mixtures. It is imperative that the assemblies be constructed in such a way that actions during normal operation cannot give rise to dangerous electrostatic charges nor that there will be any reduction in the performance of the vapour recovery.
The assemblies are intended for use at ambient temperatures between –30 °C and +55 °C for normal temperature class and –40 °C and +55 °C for low temperature class at a working pressure ≤ 16 bar .
Hoses can be constructed from rubber or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and this document specifies the requirements for three types of hoses in two grades and two classes of hose assemblies for measured fuel dispensing systems, including oxygenated fuels (≤15 % oxygenated compounds) with internal vapour recovery tubing or hose.
NOTE   This document is not applicable to multi chamber fuel dispensing hoses.
As part of the certification of a new dispenser, testing of fuel samples in accordance with EN 228 are carried out at least eight weeks after the first use of the equipment to avoid unrepresentative sulphur content results.

maximum working pressure of the components.
NOTE It is the responsibility of the user, in consultation with the hose manufacturer, to establish the
compatibility of the hose with the fluid to be used.

This document specifies two methods for measuring the stiffness and one method for the determination
of the flexibility of rubber and plastics hoses and tubing when they are bent to a specific radius at subambient
temperatures.
Method A is suitable for non-collapsible rubber and plastics hoses and tubing with a bore of up to and
including 25 mm. This method provides a means of measuring the stiffness of the hose or tubing when
the temperature is reduced from a standard laboratory temperature.
Method B is suitable for rubber and plastics hoses and tubing with a bore of up to 100 mm and provides
a means of assessing the flexibility of the hose or tubing when bent around a mandrel at a specified subambient
temperature. It can also be used as a routine quality control test.
Method C is suitable for rubber and plastics hoses and tubing with a bore of 100 mm and greater.
This method provides a means of measuring the stiffness of the hose and tubing at sub-ambient
temperatures. This method is only suitable for hoses and tubing which are non-collapsible.
