This standard specifies requirements for the machine operator qualification of powder bed based laser
beam machines for additive manufacturing of metallic parts.
This document is applicable if the machine operator qualification testing is required by contract or by
application standards.
Note: The term "operator" refers to the machine operator not to the programmer.

1 Scope

This document specifies requirements for the qualification of operators of laser metal powder bed

fusion machines and equipment for additive manufacturing in aerospace applications.

This document is applicable if the operator qualification testing is required by contract or by application

standards in the field of aerospace.
