ISO 18246:2015 specifies safety requirements for conductive connection to an external electric power supply of electrically propelled mopeds and motorcycles.
It is not applicable to vehicles not in normal conditions, such as damaged vehicles and vehicles which have mechanical and/or electrical failure.
It applies only to on-board charging systems between the plug or vehicle couplers and RESS circuits.
The safety requirements for vehicles not connected to external power supply are specified in ISO 13063.
NOTE This International Standard does not contain requirements for bidirectional power flow.
It does not provide comprehensive safety information for manufacturing, maintenance and repair personnel.
Elektrisch angetriebene Mopeds und Motorräder - Sicherheitsanforderun-gen für die leitende Verbindung mit einer externen Energieversorgung (ISO 18246:2015)
Diese Internationale Norm legt Sicherheitsanforderungen fest für leitende Verbindungen mit einer exter-nen Stromversorgung von elektrisch angetriebenen Mopeds und Motorrädern.
Sie gilt nicht für Fahrzeuge unter anderen als normalen Bedingungen, wie z. B. beschädigte Fahrzeuge und Fahrzeuge mit mechanischen und/oder elektrischen Beschädigungen.
Sie gilt nur für Bordladegeräte im Stromkreis zwischen dem Stecker oder der Fahrzeugsteckvorrichtung und dem RESS.
Die Sicherheitsanforderungen für Fahrzeuge, die nicht an die externe Stromversorgung angeschlossen sind, sind in ISO 13063 festgelegt.
ANMERKUNG Diese Internationale Norm enthält keine Anforderungen für den bidirektionalen Energiefluss.
Sie bietet keine umfassenden Sicherheitsinformationen für Herstellungs-, Wartungs- und Reparaturperso-nal.

ISO 18246 :2015 spécifie les exigences de sécurité relatives au couplage conductif des cyclomoteurs et motocycles à propulsion électrique à une borne d'alimentation électrique externe.
ISO 18246 :2015 ne s'applique pas aux véhicules qui ne sont pas dans des conditions normales, tels que des véhicules endommagés et des véhicules présentant une défaillance mécanique et/ou électrique.
ISO 18246 :2015 s'applique uniquement aux systèmes de charge à bord du véhicule entre la fiche ou les connecteurs de véhicule et les circuits RESS.
Les exigences de sécurité relatives aux véhicules non connectés à une borne d'alimentation électrique externe sont spécifiées dans l'ISO 13063.

Standard ISO 18246:2015 določa varnostne zahteve za prevodno (kabelsko) priključitev na zunanje električno napajanje mopedov in motornih koles na električni pogon.
Ne uporablja se za vozila, ki niso v normalnem stanju, kot so poškodovana vozila in vozila z mehansko in/ali električno okvaro.
Uporablja se samo za polnilne sisteme v vozilu med vtičnico ali spojkami na vozilu ter vezji RESS.

The text of ISO 18246:2015 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 22 “Road vehicles” of
the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 18246:2017
by Technical Committee CEN/TC 301 “Road vehicles” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2017, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the
