Alcohol interlocks - Test methods and performance requirements - Part 1: Instruments for drink-driving-offender programs

This European Standard specifies test methods and performance requirements for breath alcohol con¬trolled alcohol interlocks. It covers alcohol interlocks intended to be used in programmes for drink driving offenders as well as in programmes monitored or controlled in a comparable way. This European Standard is directed at test laboratories and manufacturers of alcohol interlocks. It defines requirements and test procedures for type approval. Several parameters (such as alcohol concentration or breath volume) are specified in this European Standard for the purpose of type testing according to this European Standard only. However, it may be neces¬sary due to national regulations or depending on user requests to set the values of the prescribed parameters differently when the alcohol interlocks are in use. This European Standard also applies to alcohol interlocks integrated into other control systems of the vehicle. This European Standard does not apply to – alcohol interlocks intended for general preventive use (see EN 50436-2), – instruments measuring the alcohol concentration in the ambient air in the vehicle, – alcohol interlocks not having a mouthpiece, – methods of installation and connections to the vehicle.

Alkohol-Interlocks - Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen an das Betriebsverhalten - Teil 1: Geräte für Programme mit Trunkenheitsfahrern

Diese Europäische Norm legt Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen an das Betriebsverhalten für atemalkohol¬gesteuerte Alkohol-Interlocks fest. Sie behandelt Alkohol-Interlocks, die für den Einsatz in Programmen für Trunkenheitsfahrer als auch in Programmen, die in ähnlicher Weise überwacht oder beaufsichtigt werden, vorgesehen sind. Diese Europäische Norm richtet sich an Prüflaboratorien und Hersteller von Alkohol-Interlocks. Sie legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für die Typprüfung fest. Einzelne Parameter (wie zum Beispiel Alkoholkonzentration oder Atemvolumen) sind in dieser Europäischen Norm nur für den Zweck der Typprüfung nach dieser Europäischen Norm festgelegt. Möglicherweise ist es jedoch notwendig, auf Grund von nationalen Vorschriften oder abhängig von Benutzerwünschen die Werte dieser Parameter für den Einsatz der Alkohol-Interlocks abweichend festzulegen. Diese Europäische Norm gilt auch für Alkohol-Interlocks, die in andere Steuersysteme des Fahrzeugs integriert sind, als auch für mit dem Alkohol-Interlock verbundene Zusatzgeräte. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für – Alkohol-Interlocks, die für den allgemein-präventiven Einsatz vorgesehen sind (siehe EN 50436-2), – Geräte, die die Alkoholkonzentration in der Innenraumluft des Fahrzeugs messen, – Alkohol-Interlocks, die kein Mundstück besitzen, – Installationsverfahren und Verbindungen zum Fahrzeug.

Standard EN 50436-1 določa preskusne metode in zahtevane lastnosti za alkoholne zapore, ki merijo alkohol v sapi. Obsega alkoholne zapore, ki se uporabljajo v programih za vinjene voznike in v programih, pri katerih spremljanje ali nadzor poteka na primerljiv način. Ta evropski standard je usmerjen v preskuševalne laboratorije in proizvajalce alkoholnih zapor. Določa zahteve in preskusne postopke za tipsko preskušanje. Več parametrov (kot je koncentracija alkohola ali prostornina vdiha) je navedenih v tem evropskem standardu za namen tipskega preskušanja samo v skladu s tem standardom. Vendar je mogoče treba zaradi nacionalnih predpisov ali glede na zahteve uporabnikov drugače nastaviti vrednosti predpisanih parametrov, kadar veljajo alkoholne zapore. Ta evropski standard se uporablja tudi za alkoholne zapore, vgrajene v druge nadzorne sisteme vozila, ter za pomožne naprave, povezane z alkoholno zaporo.
