Ventilation for buildings - Performance testing of components/products for residential ventilation - Part 3: Range hoods for residential use without fan

Concerning performance testing of odour extraction (clause 7), this European
standard refers entirely to IEC 61561:1997, clause 13. Experience from a large number of
performance tests on both extracting and re-circulating hoods shows that hoods with average
or inferior performance in a real situation, can achieve excellent performance numbers (odour
reduction factors) in the test. The direct reference to IEC 61561:1997, clause 13 should be
removed and a modified test method should be included in EN 13141-3, clause 7.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Verfahren zur Messung der Hauptleistungskenngrößen von Dunstabzugs-hauben für Wohnungen fest. Sie gilt für Abluft-Dunstabzugshauben ohne Ventilator.
Diese Europäische Norm legt Folgendes nicht fest:
- Werte für Leistungskenngrößen;
- Sicherheitsanforderungen in Zusammenhang mit der Verwendung von Methylethylketon (MEK).
Für Abluft-Dunstabzugshauben mit Ventilator, siehe EN 61591.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie des méthodes pour mesurer les caractéristiques de performance principales des hottes de cuisine pour utilisation domestique. Elle s'applique aux hottes de cuisine à extraction d'air sans ventilateur.
La présente Norme européenne ne spécifie pas :
- de valeur pour les caractéristiques de performance ;
- de prescription de sécurité concernant l'utilisation de méthyléthylcétone (MEK).
Voir l'EN 61591 pour les hottes de cuisine à extraction d'air avec ventilateur.

Prezračevanje stavb - Preskušanje lastnosti sestavnih delov/izdelkov za prezračevanje stanovanjskih stavb - 3. del: Kuhinjske nape za gospodinjstva brez ventilatorja

Ta evropski standard se v povezavi s preskušanjem zmogljivosti odstranjevanja vonjav (točka 7) v celoti nanaša na 13. točko standarda IEC 61561:1997. Izkušnje velikega števila preskusov zmogljivosti kažejo, da tako izvlečne kot recirkulacijske nape s povprečno ali podpovprečno zmogljivostjo pri dejanskih pogojih lahko dosežejo odlične rezultate (dejavniki zmanjšanja vonjav) pri preskusih. Neposredno sklicevanje na 13. točko standarda IEC 61561:1997 je treba odstraniti in v 7. točko standarda EN 13141-3 dodati spremenjeno preskusno metodo.

EN 13141-3:2017 (E) 3 European foreword This document (EN 13141-3:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 156 “Ventilation for buildings”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2017, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2019. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 13141-3:2004. In comparison to EN 13141-3:2004 the following changes have been made: — reduction of the scope to exclude air extraction range hoods with fan already taken into account in EN 61591 developed by IEC/TC 59 “Performance of household and similar electrical appliances”; — adding of a specific clause concerning performance test of odour extraction (see Clause 7) instead of making reference to EN 61591.
