Impact protection helmets for young children

This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for helmets intended for use by children under the age of seven while pursuing activities in motor vehicle free environments which have proven risks of head injuries.  Requirements and the corresponding methods of test are given for the following:     -  construction including field of vision;    -  shock absorbing properties;    -  retention system properties, including chin strap, fastening devices and self-release system;    -  marking and information.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfmethoden für Helme fest, die von Kindern unter 7 Jahren in KfZ-freien Bereichen bei der Ausübung von Tätigkeiten, bei denen ein erwiesenes Risiko für Kopfverletzungen besteht, getragen werden. Die Anforderungen und die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren beziehen sich auf folgende Punkte: - Stossdämpfende Eigenschaften; - Merkmale der Trageeinrichtungen; - Kennzeichnung und Information; - Konstruktion einschliesslich Sichtfeld.

Les prescriptions et les méthodes d'essai correspondantes couvrent les aspects suivants: -construction, ycompris le champde vision; -propriétés en matiere d'absorption des chocs;- caractéristiques du systemes de rétention, y compris la jugulaire, les dispo- dusitifs de serrage et le systemes a ouverture automatique;-marquage/information
