EN 60335-2-35:2016/A1:2019 (CLC) is the European particular requirements for the safety of instantaneous water heaters - part of the household and similar electrical appliances series. It is the CENELEC adoption of IEC 60335-2-35:2012/A1:2016 and supplements EN 60335‑1 (Part 1). The amendment A1 (approved 2019) updates test conditions, marking and instruction requirements, and construction rules to ensure safe operation of tankless/instantaneous water heaters and to support conformity with the EU Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) when cited in the Official Journal.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-35:2016; it was approved by CENELEC on 2016-12-13. CENELEC
members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the
status of a national standard without any alteration.
