Plastics hoses and hose assemblies - Textile-reinforced types for hydraulic applications - Specification (ISO 3949:2018)

This document specifies requirements for three types of textile-reinforced thermoplastics hose and hose assembly of nominal size from 3,2 to 25. Each type is divided into two classes dependent on electrical conductivity requirements.
They are suitable for use with:
— oil-based hydraulic fluids HH, HL, HM, HR and HV as defined in ISO 6743‑4 at temperatures ranging from −40 °C to +93 °C;
— water-based fluids HFC, HFAE, HFAS and HFB as defined in ISO 6743‑4 at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to +60 °C
— water at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to +60 °C.
This document does not include requirements for end fittings. It is limited to the performance of hoses and hose assemblies.
NOTE It is the responsibility of the user, in consultation with the hose manufacturer, to establish the compatibility of the hose with the fluid to be used.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen für drei Typen von textilverstärkten thermoplastischen Schläuchen und Schlauchleitungen mit einer Nenngröße von 3,2 bis 25 fest. Abhängig von den Anforde-rungen an die elektrische Leitfähigkeit ist jeder Typ in zwei Klassen unterteilt.
Sie sind für den Gebrauch mit:
—   den in ISO 6743 4 festgelegten ölbasierten hydraulischen Flüssigkeiten HH, HL, HM, HR und HV in einem Temperaturbereich von 40 °C bis 100 °C geeignet.
—   den in ISO 6743 4 festgelegten wasserbasierten hydraulischen Flüssigkeiten HFC, HFAE, HFAS und HFB in einem Temperaturbereich von 0 °C bis 60 °C geeignet.
—   Wasser bei Temperaturen im Bereich von 0°C bis 60 °C geeignet.
Diese Internationale Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an Endarmaturen. Sie beschränkt sich auf die Leistung von Schläuchen und Schlauchleitungen.
ANMERKUNG   Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Benutzers, in Absprache mit dem Schlauchhersteller, die Verträglichkeit des Schlauches mit der Flüssigkeit, die verwendet wird, sicherzustellen.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences pour trois types de tuyaux et flexibles thermoplastiques avec armature textile de dimension nominale de 3,2 à 25. Chaque type est divisé en deux classes dépendant des exigences relatives à la conductibilité électrique.
Ils sont destinés à être utilisés avec:
— des fluides hydrauliques à base de pétrole HH, HL, HM, HR et HV tels que définis dans l'ISO 6743‑4 pour une plage de températures de −40 °C à +93 °C;
— des fluides hydrauliques à base d'eau HFC, HFAE, HFAS et HFB tels que définis dans l'ISO 6743‑4 pour une plage de températures de 0 °C à +60 °C;
— de l'eau pour une plage de températures de 0 °C à +60 °C.
Le présent document ne contient pas d'exigences sur les extrémités de raccordement. Il se limite aux performances des tuyaux et des flexibles.

Ta dokument določa zahteve za tri vrste s tekstilom ojačenih cevi in cevnih priključkov iz plastomerov z nazivno velikostjo od 3,2 do 25. Vsaka vrsta je glede na zahteve električne prevodnosti razdeljena v dva razreda.
Primerni so za uporabo s/z:
– hidravličnimi tekočinami na oljni osnovi HH, HL, HM, HR in HV, kot je opredeljeno v standardu ISO 6743-4, pri temperaturah od −40 °C do 93 °C;
– tekočinami na vodni osnovi HFC, HFAE, HFAS in HFB, kot je opredeljeno v standardu ISO 6743-4, pri temperaturah od 0 °C do 60 °C;
– vodo pri temperaturah od 0 °C do 60 °C.
Ta dokument ne vključuje zahtev za končnike. Standard je omejen na učinkovitost cevi in cevnih priključkov.
OPOMBA: Uporabnik mora po posvetovanju s proizvajalcem cevi določiti združljivost cevi z uporabljeno tekočino.

This document (EN ISO 3949:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 “Rubber and

rubber products” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses

and hose assemblies” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2019, and conflicting national standards shall

be withdrawn at the latest by January 2019.

This document was prepared by technical Committee ISO/TC 45, Rubber and rubber products,

Subcommittee SC 1, Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies.

This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition (ISO 3949:2009), which has been technically

revised. The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
— Clause 1 has been updated to be more precise;

— Requirements for type R8, hose nominal size 8 have been added in Tables 1, 3, 4 and 5;

— Reference to method A1 of ISO 10619-1:2017, has been added in 7.3;
— Additional requirement for marking of hoses has been added in 10.1;
— Reference to ISO 17165-1 has been made in 10.2.
