For the purpose of demonstrating compatibility between rolling stock and axle counter detectors, this document defines the interference limits and evaluation methods to verify rolling stock emissions. Wheel sensors and crossing loops are not covered by this document.
This document gives recommended individual limits to be applied to establish compatibility between RST and all selected types of axle counter detectors, including any covered by national standards.
The list of selected types of axle counters and their limits for compatibility are drawn on the basis of established performance criteria. It is expected that the trend for newly signalled interoperable lines will be fitted with types that meet the compatibility limits published in the TSI CCS Interfaces Document (ERA/ERTMS/033281).
To ensure adequate operational availability, it is essential that the rolling stock complies with the defined limits; otherwise, the established availability of the valid output function of axle counter detectors may be compromised.
NOTE   The influences from metal parts or inductively coupled resonant circuits on the vehicle, eddy current brakes or magnetic brakes, are not covered by this document but are considered on the basis of national technical specifications.
For wheel sensors and wheel detectors in other applications than axle counters but utilizing the same rail sensors and detectors, transient and continuous interference can be considered as equivalent to axle counter detectors or axle counter sensors.

Afin de démontrer la compatibilité entre le matériel roulant et les compteurs d'essieux, le présent document établit les limites d'interférence pour les détecteurs compteurs d'essieux ainsi que les méthodes d'évaluation pour vérifier les émissions générées par le matériel roulant.
Les détecteurs de roues et les boucles de franchissement ne sont pas couverts par le présent document.
Pour les capteurs et détecteurs de roues utilisés pour d'autres applications que les compteurs d'essieux, mais qui utilisent les mêmes capteurs de rails et circuits de détection, les interférences continues et transitoires peuvent être considérées comme un phénomène équivalent à des détecteurs compteurs d'essieux ou des capteurs compteurs d'essieux.
Le présent document établit des limites recommandées à appliquer pour établir la compatibilité entre le MR et tous les types de détecteurs compteurs d'essieux sélectionnés, y compris ceux couverts par des normes nationales.
La liste des types de détecteurs compteurs d'essieux sélectionnés et leurs limites pour la compatibilité ont été établies sur la base de critères de performance définis.
Pour assurer une disponibilité opérationnelle adéquate, il est primordial que le matériel roulant respecte les limites définies. À défaut, la disponibilité établie de la fonction de sortie valide des détecteurs compteurs d'essieux pourra être compromise. L'impact des pièces métalliques ou des circuits résonants à couplage inductif sur le véhicule, les freins à courants de Foucault ou les freins magnétiques n'est pas couvert par le présent document.

Za potrebe dokazovanja združljivosti voznih sredstev in detektorjev števcev osi ta dokument opredeljuje mejne vrednosti motenj in metode za preverjanje emisij voznih sredstev. Ta dokument ne zajema senzorjev na kolesih in kretnic.
Ta dokument določa priporočene posamezne omejitve, ki jih je treba uporabljati pri določanju združljivosti med sistemi za zapisovanje podatkov (RST) in izbranimi vrstami detektorjev števcev osi, vključno s tistimi, ki jih zajemajo nacionalni standardi.
Seznam izbranih vrst števcev osi in njihovih omejitev glede združljivosti je sestavljen na podlagi uveljavljenih meril učinkovitosti. Pričakuje se, da bo trend na novo označenih medobratovalnih prog opremljen z vrstami, ki so skladne z omejitvami glede združljivosti, objavljenimi v dokumentu o vmesnikih (ERA/ERTMS/033281) tehničnih specifikacij za interoperabilnost (TSI CCS).
Da bi zagotovili ustrezno operativno razpoložljivost, je bistveno, da so vozna sredstva skladna z opredeljenimi omejitvami; v nasprotnem primeru je lahko ogrožena uveljavljena razpoložljivost izhodne funkcije detektorjev števcev osi.
OPOMBA:   Vplivi kovinskih delov ali induktivno spojenih resonančnih tokokrogov na vozilu, zavore na vrtinčne tokove ali magnetne zavore so zunaj področja uporabe tega dokumenta, vendar se upoštevajo na podlagi nacionalnih tehničnih specifikacij.
Za senzorje na kolesih in detektorje koles pri drugih načinih uporabe, ki niso števci osi, vendar uporabljajo enake tirne senzorje in detektorje, je mogoče prehodne in neprekinjene motnje obravnavati kot enakovredne števcem osi ali senzorjem števcev osi.

This document supersedes CLC/TS 50238-3:2019.
CLC/TS 50238-3:2022 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to
CLC/TS 50238-3:2019:

— amended and new limits in Annex A.

Introduction
This document defines the interference limits and evaluation criteria for electromagnetic compatibility between
rolling stock and axle counter detectors.

The limits have been defined on the basis of a test specification defined in EN 50617-2 (laboratory tests).
This document defines:
— a set of interference limits for magnetic fields resulting from both rail current and equipment on board the
vehicles;
— evaluation criteria to verify rolling stock emissions and demonstrate compatibility with the interference limits
for magnetic fields;
— traceability of requirements (type of axle counter detectors considered for the limits).
In the relevant frequency range of the axle counter detectors, the magnetic field is dominant and only this type
of field is considered. Experience has shown that the effects of electric fields are insignificant and therefore not
considered.
