This European Standard specifies the characteristics, test methods, qualification and acceptance
conditions of single and multicore electric cables, without jackets, for general purpose with conductors
in copper or copper alloy, intended for installation in aircraft circuits.
The insulation of these cables is designed to withstand aircraft voltages at a frequency not exceeding
2 000 Hz. Unless specified by individual product standards the maximum demonstrated a.c. voltage of
rating of these cables is 115 V rms (phase to neutral) and 200 V rms (phase to phase).
They are divided into types, the characteristics of which are given in the product standards. Unless
otherwise specified in the product standard, the tests defined in this standard apply.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften, Prüfverfahren, Qualifizierungs- und Annahmebedingungen für ein- und mehradrige elektrische Leitungen ohne Mantel, für allgemeine Anwendungen, mit Leitern aus Kupfer oder Kupferlegierung, die zum Einbau in Bordnetze von Luftfahrzeugen bestimmt sind, fest.
Die Isolierung dieser Leitungen ist für Flugzeugspannungen mit einer Frequenz bis 2 000 Hz ausgelegt. Falls nicht in den einzelnen Produktnormen festgelegt, beträgt die maximal nachgewiesene Nennwechselspan¬nung dieser Leitungen 115 V effektiv (Phase gegen Neutral) und 200 V effektiv (Phase gegen Phase).
Sie sind in Typen aufgeteilt, deren Eigenschaften in den Produktnormen angegeben sind. Falls in der Pro-duktnorm nicht anders festgelegt, sind die in dieser Norm vorgegebenen Prüfungen anzuwenden.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques, les méthodes d’essai, la qualification et les conditions d’acceptation des câbles électriques monoconducteurs et multiconducteurs, sans gaine, d’usage général avec conducteurs en cuivre ou alliage de cuivre utilisés dans les systèmes électriques de bord des aéronefs.
L'isolation de ces câbles est conçue pour résister aux tensions à bord des aéronefs à une fréquence n’excédant pas 2 000 Hz. Sauf spécification contraire dans les normes de produit individuelles, la tension alternative maximale démontrée de puissance de ces câbles est de 115 V rms (phase à neutre), et de 200 V rms (phase à phase).
Ils sont divisés en types dont les caractéristiques sont données dans les normes de produit. Sauf indication contraire dans la norme de produit, les essais définis dans cette norme s'appliquent.

Ta evropski standard določa lastnosti, preskusne metode ter pogoje za odobritev in sprejetje eno- ali večžilnih električnih kablov brez oklopa za splošne namene z vodniki iz bakra ali bakrene zlitine, namenjenih za namestitev v vezja letal.
Izolacija teh kablov je zasnovana tako, da prenese napetosti letala pri frekvenci do 2000 Hz. Največja uporabljena napetost izmeničnega toka pri ocenjevanju teh kablov je 115 V RMS za fazno napetost in 200 V RMS za medfazno napetost, razen če standardi za posamezne proizvode določajo drugače.
Razdeljeni so v vrste, lastnosti katerih so podane v standardih za proizvode. Uporabljajo se preskusi, določeni v tem standardu, razen če je v standardu za proizvod navedeno drugače.

EN 2084:2018 (E) 5 4.2 Finished cables The insulation material shall present on uniform circular cross-section throughout the length of the cable. Covering over the insulation shall be treated and applied in such a manner that the cables present a smooth appearance (unless the acceptable overlap due to a tape wrapped technology) and are able to accept marking. Multiconductors assembly shall be cabled according EN 2235. 5 Required characteristics The characteristics of the cables, tested according to the methods described hereafter shall comply with the values given in the product standard. 6 Tests methods 6.1 Single core cables See Table 1.
