The text of document 23A/495/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 61534-21, prepared by SC 23A, Cable
management systems, of IEC TC 23, Electrical accessories, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel
vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61534-21 on 2006-09-01.
This standard is to be used in conjunction with EN 61534-1:2003, Powertrack systems - Part 1: General
requirements.
This Part 21 supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of EN 61534-1. Where a particular
clause or subclause of Part 1 is not mentioned in this Part 21, that clause or subclause applies as far as
is reasonable. Where this Part 21 states "addition", "modification" or "replacement", the relevant text of
Part 1 is to be adapted accordingly.
Subclauses, tables and figures which are in addition to those in Part 1 are numbered starting from 101.
NOTE The following print types are used:
– requirements: in roman type;
– test specifications: in italic type;
– notes: in small roman type.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical

FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising
all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote
international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To
this end and in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications,
Technical Reports, Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (hereafter referred to as “IEC
Publication(s)”). Their preparation is entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested
