This Part of EN 335 gives guidance on the application of the hazard class system, as defined in Part 1 of EN 335, to wood-based panels: plywood, particleboards, oriented strand boards, fibreboards, cement-bonded particleboards in relation only to the biological agencies that can attack wood-based panels over a duration sufficient to result in deterioration. This Part is to be used in conjunction with Part 1 of EN 335. Annex A (informative) provides additional guidance on the use and suitability of wood-based panels, preservative treatment and/or finishing within a given hazard class.

La présente partie de l'EN 335 donne des indications pour l'application du système des classes de risque, telles qu'elles sont définies dans la partie 1 de la norme 335, aux panneaux à base de bois: les contreplaqués, les panneaux departicules, les panneaux en lamelles longues minces, longues et orientées, les panneaux de particules liées au ciment en fonction uniquement des agents biologiques qui peuvent attaquer les panneaux à base de bois pendant une durée suffisamment longue pour que des détériorations se produisent. Il convient d'utiliser cette partie conjointement avec la Partie 1 de l'EN 335.
