This document establishes a system of graphic symbols for use in the marking of the following floor coverings and specifies the use of these symbols.
-   Resilient floor coverings manufactured from plastics, linoleum, cork or rubber, excluding loose-laid mats;
-   textile floor coverings, excluding loose-laid mats;
-   laminate floor coverings;
-   floor panels for loose laying.

Diese Technische Spezifikation führt ein System graphischer Symbole zur Benutzung bei der Kennzeichnung der folgenden Bodenbeläge ein und legt die Anwendung dieser Symbole fest:
   elastische Bodenbeläge, hergestellt aus Kunststoff, Linoleum, Kork oder Gummi, mit Ausnahme lose ausgelegter Matten;
   textile Bodenbeläge, mit Ausnahme lose ausgelegter Matten;
   Laminat-Bodenbeläge;
   Bodenplatten zur schwimmenden Verlegung.

Le présent projet de Spécification technique établit un système de symboles graphiques pour utilisation dans le marquage des revêtements de sol suivants et spécifie l’utilisation de ces symboles :
   revêtements de sol résilients en plastiques, en linoléum, en liège ou en caoutchouc, à l’exclusion des tapis en pose libre ;
   revêtements de sol textiles, à l’exclusion des tapis en pose libre ;
   revêtements de sol stratifiés ;
   panneaux de sol pour pose flottante.

Ta dokument vzpostavlja sistem grafičnih simbolov za označevanje naslednjih talnih oblog in določa uporabo teh simbolov. – odporne talne obloge iz plastike, linoleja, plutovca ali gume, razen nepritrjenih podlog; – tekstilne talne obloge, razen nepritrjenih podlog; – laminatne talne obloge; – talne plošče za nepritrjeno polaganje.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 24 November 2015 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.

CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,

Introduction
Resilient, textile and laminate floor coverings and in case of floating installation with underlays, the
combination of these floorcoverings with underlays, have a number of specific characteristics and are
classified in a number of use classes.
In order to make the classification and these specific characteristics understandable and recognizable to
the consumer, graphic symbols have been developed.
For practical reasons, only symbols for characteristics linked directly to a European or ISO Standard
have been developed.
Copyright: This document and these symbols are copyright protected by CEN. The symbols may not be
altered, changed in any way except size and colour. Similarly, no parts or elements of these symbols
may be copied or redesigned in order to create new symbols not included in this document. These
symbols can only be used when the product is tested or classified according to the related standard.
