This document specifies chemical and mechanical test methods and measurement methods of geometrical characteristics applicable to welded fabric and lattice girders for the reinforcement of concrete. NOTE In some countries, the expression "welded wire reinforcement" is used in place of "welded (wire) fabric". For those tests not specified in this document (e.g. bend test, rib/indentation geometry, mass per metre), ISO 15630-1 is applicable. This document does not cover the sampling conditions that are dealt with in the product standards. A list of options for agreement between the parties involved is provided in Annex A.

This document specifies requirements for couplers for the mechanical splicing of steel reinforcing bars. More onerous requirements can be specified by the customer. This document is applicable to the continuous production of coupler components. It is intended to be used with adequate control measures for the processing of reinforcing bars, i.e. the production of the mechanical splice. This document specifies requirements for couplers used for mechanical splices in reinforced concrete structures under predominantly static loads. It specifies additional requirements for couplers used in structures subject to high-cycle elastic fatigue loading and/or low-cycle elastic-plastic reverse loading. NOTE ISO 15835-3 specifies the quantity of tests. Compression-only couplers such as end-bearing sleeves are not covered by the ISO 15835 series.

This part of ISO 15698 specifies requirements for headed steel bars to be used as reinforcement of concrete structures. This part of ISO 15698 is a product standard and not an application standard. It is intended to cover a large variety of products and also to support the development of new products. This part of ISO 15698 specifies requirements for headed reinforcing bars with heads made of steel. Heads or head-bar connections made using other materials, including metal-filled sleeves, are not covered by this part of ISO 15698. End anchorages consisting of a steel bar or other steel component positioned orthogonally at the end(s) of a bar and welded on-site to the bar are outside the scope of this part of ISO 15698. This part of ISO 15698 is intended to cover products which are manufactured in a continuous production that allows the products to be tested in accordance with a defined testing regime. Requirements and testing for headed bars under impact loading are outside the scope of this part of ISO 15698.

This International Standard specifies requirements for epoxy powders for use in preparing fusion-bonded epoxycoated steel reinforcing bar, wire and welded fabric. This International Standard also includes requirements for sealing material used to repair damaged areas and cut ends on reinforcing steel. This International Standard defines a flexible (type A) coating and a nonflexible (type B) coating. The adhesion and moisture resistance of fusion-bonded epoxy powder coatings can be enhanced by certain formulation designs. These coating enhancements typically result in a reduction of the coating's flexibility.
