Sensory analysis - General guidance for the selection, training and monitoring of assessors - Part 2: Expert sensory assessors (ISO 8586-2:2008)

ISO 8586-2:2008 specifies criteria for choosing people with particular sensory skills from selected assessors or from product, process or marketing specialists who themselves satisfy the selection criteria specified in ISO 8586-1. It specifies principles and procedures for choosing them and expanding their knowledge and abilities to the levels required of expert sensory assessors.
ISO 8586-2:2008 sets out requirements for expert sensory assessors to establish sensory profiles of products and materials through the use of descriptors. Specific knowledge of products or materials by expert sensory assessors is not necessary to fulfil these requirements.
ISO 8586-2:2008 supplements the information given in ISO 6658.

Sensorische Analyse - Allgemeiner Leitfaden für die Auswahl, Schulung und Überprüfung von Prüfpersonen - Teil 2: Sensoriker (ISO 8586-2:2008)

Dieser Teil von ISO 8586 legt Kriterien fest, nach denen Personen mit besonderen sensorischen Fähigkeiten aus Prüfern oder aus Produkt-, Prozess- oder Marketingspezialisten auszuwählen sind, die ihrerseits die in ISO 8586 1 festgelegten Auswahlkriterien erfüllen. Er legt Grundsätze und Verfahren fest, nach denen diese auszuwählen sind und nach denen ihr Wissen und ihre Fähigkeiten so zu erweitern sind, dass sie den Anforderungen an Sensoriker entsprechen.
Dieser Teil von ISO 8586 enthält Anforderungen an Sensoriker, die mit Hilfe von Deskriptoren sensorische Profile von Produkten und Materialien erstellen. Spezielle Kenntnisse zu den betreffenden Produkten oder Materialien sind nicht erforderlich, um diese Anforderungen zu erfüllen.
Der vorliegende Teil von ISO 8586 ergänzt die in ISO 6658 angegebenen Informationen.

L'ISO 8586-2:2008 spécifie les critères permettant de sélectionner des personnes possédant des aptitudes sensorielles particulières parmi des sujets qualifiés, ou encore parmi des spécialistes de produits, des procédés de fabrication ou du marketing qui remplissent eux-mêmes les critères de sélection spécifiés dans l'ISO 8586-1. Elle spécifie des principes et des modes opératoires pour leur sélection et pour étendre leurs connaissances et leurs aptitudes jusqu'au niveau requis pour devenir des sujets experts sensoriels.
L'ISO 8586-2:2008 spécifie les exigences relatives aux sujets experts sensoriels pour l'établissement de profils sensoriels de produits et matériaux par l'utilisation de descripteurs. Une connaissance spécifique des produits ou des matériaux par les sujets experts sensoriels n'est pas nécessaire pour répondre à ces exigences.
L'ISO 8586-2:2008 complète les informations données dans l'ISO 6658.

This document (EN ISO 8586-2:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 34 "Agricultural
food products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS C01 “Food Products” the secretariat of
which is held by CMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by December 2008.
