Inland navigation vessels - Work boats, ship's boats and lifeboats

This European Standard applies to boats according to Annex II of Directive 2006/87/EC that are used on
inland navigation vessels as work boats, ship's boats and lifeboats. It also applies to boats that are used
on inland waterways
- as life-saving vessels if no special life-saving equipment is specified for the area of use, or
- for the transport of a limited number of persons or relatively small working loads in the construction site
area and over comparatively short distances.
This standard does not apply to recreational craft according to Directive 94/25/EC.

Fahrzeuge der Binnenschifffahrt - Arbeits-, Bei- und Rettungsboote

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Boote, die nach Anhang II der Richtlinie 2006/87/EG auf Fahrzeugen der Binnenschifffahrt als Arbeits-, Bei- und Rettungsboote mitgeführt werden müssen. Sie gilt auch für Boote, die auf Binnengewässern
-   als Rettungsmittel, sofern für das Einsatzgebiet keine besonderen Rettungsmittel vorgeschrieben sind, oder
-   für den Transport von Personen in begrenzter Anzahl oder kleineren Nutzlasten geringen Umfangs im Baustellenbereich und auf vergleichbar kurzen Entfernungen
eingesetzt werden.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Sportboote nach Richtlinie 94/25/EG.

Bateaux de navigation intérieure - Canots de travail, baleinières et canots de sauvetage

La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux bateaux qui, conformément à l’Annexe II de la
Directive 2006/87/CE, doivent être embarqués sur des bateaux de navigation intérieure comme
bateaux-ateliers, bachots et canots de sauvetage. Elle s’applique également aux bateaux utilisés sur les voies
navigables intérieures :
- comme moyens de secours, dans la mesure où des moyens de secours particuliers ne sont pas prescrits
dans la zone concernée ; ou
- pour le transport d'un petit nombre de personnes ou de petites charges utiles d'un volume réduit dans
une zone de chantiers et sur des distances relativement courtes.
La présente norme ne s’applique pas aux bâtiments de plaisance selon la Directive 94/25/CE.
