Air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps with electrically driven compressors for space heating and cooling - Part 1: Terms, definitions and classification

This European Standard specifies the terms and definitions for the rating and performance of air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps using either, air, water or brine as heat transfer media, with electrically driven compressors when used for space heating and/or cooling. This European Standard does not apply to heat pumps for domestic hot water, although certain definitions can be applied to these. This European Standard applies to: - factory-made units that can be ducted, - factory-made liquid chilling packages with integral condensers or for use with remote condensers, - factory-made units of either fixed capacity or variable capacity by any means, and - air-to-air air conditioners which can also evaporate the condensate on the condenser side. Packaged units, single split and multisplit systems are covered by this standard. Single duct and double duct units are covered by the standard. In the case of units consisting of several parts, this European Standard applies only to those designed and supplied as a complete package, except for liquid chilling packages with remote condenser. This European Standard is primarily intended for water and brine chilling packages but can be used for other liquid subject to agreement. The units having their condenser cooled by air and by the evaporation of external additional water shall have their performance in the cooling mode determined in accordance to EN 15218. For those which can also operate in the heating mode, EN 14511 applies for the determination of their performance in the heating mode. Installations used for heating and/or cooling of industrial processes are not within the scope of this standard.

Luftkonditionierer, Flüssigkeitskühlsätze und Wärmepumpen mit elektrisch angetriebenen Verdichtern für die Raumbeheizung und -kühlung - Teil 1: Begriffe

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Begriffe für die Einstufung und Leistung von Luftkonditionierern, Flüssig-keitskühlsätzen und Wärmepumpen, die Luft, Wasser oder Sole als Wärmeträger nutzen, mit elektrisch angetriebenen Verdichtern für die Raumbeheizung und/oder -kühlung fest. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Wärmepumpen zum Erwärmen von Brauchwasser, obwohl bestimmte Definitionen auf diese angewendet werden können.
Die vorliegende Europäische Norm gilt für:
   fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Geräte, die mit Luftkanalanschlüssen versehen sein können;
   fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Flüssigkeitskühlsätze mit eingebauten Verflüssigern oder für den Betrieb mit ge¬trennt angeordneten Verflüssigern;
   fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Geräte mit fest eingestellter oder durch beliebige Vorrichtungen zu ver-ändernder Leistung (variable Leistung); und
   Luft/Luft-Luftkonditionierer, die das Kondensat auch auf der Verflüssigerseite verdampfen können.
Kompaktgeräte, Einzelgeräte in Split-Bauweise und Multi-Split-Systeme fallen in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm. Geräte mit Einkanal- und Zweikanal-Systemen werden ebenfalls in dieser Norm behandelt.
Wenn die Geräte aus mehreren Teilen bestehen, gilt diese Europäische Norm mit der Ausnahme von Flüs-sigkeitskühlsätzen mit getrennt angeordnetem Verflüssiger nur für Teile, die als vollständige Baueinheit kons-truiert und geliefert werden.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt hauptsächlich für Wasser- und Solekühlsätze, kann jedoch nach Vereinbarung auf weitere Flüssigkeiten angewendet werden.
Die Leistung von Geräten, deren Verflüssiger durch Belüftung und durch Verdampfung von zusätzlichem, von außen zugeführ¬tem Wasser gekühlt wird, ist im Kühlbetrieb nach EN 15218 zu ermitteln. Bei Geräten, die auch im Heizbetrieb arbeiten können, gilt EN 14511 für die Ermittlung der Leistung im Heizbetrieb.
Anlagen für die Beheizung und/oder Kühlung industrieller Prozesse fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm.
ANMERKUNG 1   Die Prüfung von Geräten unter Teillastbedingungen ist in EN 14825 festgelegt.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les termes et définitions relatifs à la détermination des caractéristiques de performance des climatiseurs, des groupes refroidisseurs de liquide et des pompes à chaleur utilisant l'air, l'eau ou l'eau glycolée comme fluide caloporteur, avec compresseur entraîné par moteur électrique, lorsqu'ils sont utilisés pour le chauffage et/ou le refroidissement des locaux. La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas spécifiquement aux pompes à chaleur utilisées pour l'eau chaude sanitaire, bien que certaines définitions puissent leur être applicables.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique :
-   aux appareils fabriqués en usine qui peuvent être raccordés ;
-   aux groupes refroidisseurs de liquide autonomes fabriqués en usine ou conçus pour être utilisés avec des condenseurs fournis séparément ;
-   aux appareils fabriqués en usine de capacité fixe ou variable par tous moyens ; et
-   aux climatiseurs air/air qui peuvent également évaporer les condensats du côté condenseur.
La présente norme couvre les systèmes monoblocs, à deux éléments séparés et multi-split. La présente norme couvre les appareils à simple et à double raccordement.
Dans le cas d'appareils à éléments séparés, la présente Norme européenne ne s'applique qu'aux appareils conçus et fournis comme un ensemble, sauf pour ce qui concerne les groupes refroidisseurs de liquide avec condenseur séparé.
La présente Norme européenne est principalement destinée aux groupes refroidisseurs d'eau et d'eau glycolée mais peut être utilisé, après accord, pour d'autres liquides.
Il convient que les appareils ayant leur condenseur refroidi par air et par évaporation d'eau extérieure supplémentaire aient leur performance en mode refroidissement déterminé conformément à l’EN 15218. Pour ceux qui peuvent également fonctionner en mode chauffage, l’EN 14511 s’applique pour la détermination de leur performance en mode chauffage.
La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux installations utilisées pour le chauffage et/ou le refroidissement des procédés industriels.

Ta evropski standard določa izraze in definicije za ocenjevanje in delovanje klimatskih naprav, enot za tekočinsko hlajenje in toplotnih črpalk, ki uporabljajo zrak, vodo ali slanico kot medij za prenos toplote, z električnimi kompresorji, kadar se uporabljajo za segrevanje in/ali hlajenje prostora. Ta evropski standard ne velja za toplotne črpalke za gospodinjsko vročo vodo, čeprav se lahko za njih uporabljajo nekatere definicije. Ta evropski standard se uporablja za: – tovarniško izdelane enote, ki se lahko uporabljajo v ceveh; – tovarniško izdelane enote za tekočinsko hlajenje z vgrajenim kondenzatorjem ali za uporabo z oddaljenim kondenzatorjem; – tovarniško izdelane enote s fiksno ali na kakršen koli način spremenljivo zmogljivostjo in – klimatske naprave zrak-zrak, ki lahko uparijo kondenzat tudi na strani kondenzatorja. EN 14511-1:2013 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 14511-1:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 113 “Heat pumps and air conditioning units”, the secretariat of which is held by AENOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2014 and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2014. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 14511-1:2011. The main change with respect to the previous edition is the addition of terms and definitions. Although this document has been prepared in the frame of the commission regulation (EU) No 206/2012 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC with regard to ecodesign requirements for air conditioners and comfort fans, it is also intended to support the essential requirements of the European Directive 2010/30/CE.
