1.1 This document specifies a sampling method for a consignment of instant coffee, shipped in 10 package units or more.
This document is applicable to cases which have inner linings of moisture-resistant material hermetically sealed because of the hygroscopic nature of instant coffee and which are in package units greater than 10 kg net mass, typically up to 50 kg. This document is also applicable to units of more than 50 kg, usually called “big bags” or “supersacks”. The cases are generally made of cardboard of appropriate strength and the big bags are made of suitable plastic material.
1.2 This document is also applicable to the selection and preparation of a sufficiently representative sample of the consignment, which is intended:
a) to serve as a basis for an offer for sale;
b) for examination to verify that the instant coffee to be offered for sale satisfies the producer’s sales specification;
c) for examination to determine one or more of the characteristics of the instant coffee for technical, commercial, administrative and arbitration purposes;
d) for retention as a reference sample for use, if required, in litigation.
1.3 This document is applicable to all types of instant coffee, as defined in ISO 3509, contained in all types of units with liners, with the exception stated in 1.4.
1.4 For bulk density and particle size, this document is applicable to spray-dried powder and freeze-dried instant coffees only, as defined in ISO 3509, due to the intrinsic fragility of particles of agglomerated instant coffee, which leads to greater breakdown and headspace in the final packed units for the consumer.

This document provides a set of professional role profiles as typically applied in an organisation in the area of artificial intelligence (AI) and a set of educational profiles that translate these organisation needs into educational terms. It builds on existing CEN reports, specifically the European e-Competence Framework ("e-CF"; EN 16234-1), the ICT Professional Role Profiles (CWA 16458), and the Guidelines for Developing ICT Professional Curricula (CEN/TS 17699).
It provides a high-level framework for AI role profiles, outlining elements such as tasks, deliverables, competences (aligned with the e-CF), AI descriptors, and AI skill areas. It is intended as an illustrative and exploratory resource rather than a prescriptive standard. The profiles and components presented here are designed to inspire and support organisations in shaping their own approaches, allowing them to select, adapt, and combine elements in ways that best fit their specific context. Recognising that real-world applications vary widely, this document encourages flexible use and interpretation rather than strict adherence.
Within this framework, tasks describe the key activities associated with a role, while deliverables capture the expected outputs or results. Competences, based on the e-CF, provide a structured view of the knowledge and capabilities required. AI descriptors and AI skill areas further contextualise these roles by highlighting AI-specific responsibilities and domains of expertise. Together, these elements offer a modular structure that can be tailored to different organisational needs.
In addition, the document extends these role profiles into an educational perspective by translating roles and competences into indicative learning outcomes and approaches to assessment. This linkage is intended to support education and training providers in designing programmes that align with emerging AI roles, while remaining adaptable to different pedagogical models and contexts.
This CWA aligns with activities and standards developed in the context of ISO/IEC JTC 1 SC 42 and CEN-CENELEC JTC 21 for Artificial intelligence. JTC 21 produces and adopts standardization deliverables to address European market and societal needs and to underpin primarily EU legislation, policies, principles, and values. JTC 21 plays a pivotal role in implementing the EU AI Act by developing harmonized standards.
This CWA has been developed at the intersection of AI and ICT professionalism, which is the focus of CEN/TC 428 ICT Professionalism and Digital Competences the committee that supports the development of digital skills across sectors. It focuses on competences, education, ethics, and knowledge frameworks, helping to close the digital skills gap in Europe.

The scope of this TR is a Public Transport common glossary to harmonise terms and definitions from existing data dictionaries.
The methodology consisting of highlighting the differences between various use contexts arises from a number of factors, many of them practical:
1) The facts of history. Many of the legislations, as noted (especially EU Regulations, EC Delegated Regulations and EC Implementing Decisions), already have mandatory application of varying scope, and the regulatory bodies would be most unlikely to consider it worthwhile to actually modify them in line with some list of precise terms developed after the fact.
2) The diversity of practices and use-cases which have been included in the Public Transport domain. Especially as a result of the need for this domain to cover multi-modality and developing technologies, and the increasing requirement for Public Transport to interact with wider domains such as Road Traffic Management, there are bound to be some deeply embedded terms which have been used in different senses in different domains.
3) The differing nature and working practices involved in the legislative, regulatory and technical standardisation processes, and their relationship both to one another and to real-world implementors of Public Transport services.
4) The prior existence of a well-established and precise set of Conceptual Models, including terms and definitions, in the Transmodel ecosystem. This is self-consistent and clearly defined and is being maintained on a continuous basis. However, its use in a legislative context is by “delegation”, which may do little to decrease the possibility of regulations themselves making use of some terms in a sense not intended by Transmodel itself.
The format of the glossary will be structured around following sections:
- Contexts: Summary of the contexts in which the term or phrase is defined.
- Related terms: Phrases in which the term is used, either as an element in a compound (e.g. the term “access” vs “access right” or where a related term is used which carries a notably different association (e.g. the term “access” vs “accessibility”, where the latter has a precise meaning in some contexts).
- Concept: Where it is possible to identify a unifying concept among the various definitions. An informal or explanatory summary of that concept. Where it is not possible, a note of that fact.
- Harmonisation: Containing references and links to the definitions in their contexts and the suggested conventions for citing them in contexts other than those where they are defined.
- Source references: Links to definitions of the exact term in their contexts.
- Usage recommendations: Recommendations for how the terms should be cited in contexts outside that in which the term is defined.

This document describes a method for storing data in a PDF file that correspond to the processing steps of printed products. This method has three parts: metadata identifying processing steps; limitations on the interaction between PDF graphics objects that are part of a processing step and other PDF graphics objects; limitations on PDF graphics objects in processing steps. This method is intended to be generic, i.e. not specific to packaging and labels. In addition, this document defines the following packaging- and label-specific groups of processing steps data: data corresponding to finishing steps, such as cutting, folding or glueing; braille; information panels; indications of physical dimensions; indications of intended positions of graphical elements; printed white, for example on transparent or metallic surfaces; printed varnish; primer; printing plate making.

This document specifies requirements for assessment of the mechanical strength of metal profiles incorporating a thermal barrier having mechanical performance depending on their intended use.
It also specifies the tests to determine the characteristic values of mechanical properties of the thermal barrier profile and to assess the effect of different conditionings of the thermal barrier on the mechanical performance of the connection.
This document does not apply to thermal barriers which do not give a contribution to the mechanical resistance of the profiles.
This document is applicable to thermal barrier profiles designed mainly for windows, doors, screens and curtain walls.
This document does not apply to thermal barriers made only of metal profiles connected with metal pins or screws.
This current edition of EN 14024 will supersede EN 14024:2004. Differences in test procedures between the two versions will not lead to significant differences in test results. Therefore, existing test results according to EN 14024:2004 are considered as equivalent to new test results according to the current edition of EN 14024.
