This document gives guidance, what measures can be taken in daily business already today to contribute to decarbonisation, resource efficiency and sustainability in the concrete sector.
Although concrete structural elements can be supplemented by other materials either for new construction or the retrofit of a structure, this document addresses concrete elements, bearing in mind the possibilities to increase resource efficiency and reuse of structures.

This document of the EN 12255 series specifies design principles and performance requirements for secondary and tertiary treatment of wastewater in biological fixed-film reactors at wastewater treatment plants for more than 50 PT.
Its primary application is for wastewater treatment plants for the treatment of domestic and municipal wastewater. It can also be applied for biodegradable industrial wastewater.
Biological fixed film reactors include rotating biological contactors (RBC), biological trickling reactors (BTR), moving bed biological reactors (MBBR), submerged medium reactors (SMR) and submerged media filters (SMF). Membrane bioreactors (MBR) and anaerobic processes are not within the scope.
Some of the systems using fixed film bacteria are enhanced activated sludge systems (hybrid systems). For such systems, EN 12255-6 also applies.
This document specifies fundamental information about typical systems and does not provide information about all available fixed film systems.

This document shows measures and potentials in the medium and long term to contribute to decarbonisation, resource efficiency and sustainability in the concrete sector compared to those measures that can already be taken in daily business today. Reduction of GHG emissions and resource efficiency are to be addressed at the same time and can affect each other; e.g. decreasing amount of fly ash in some countries due to the decommissioning of coal-fired power plants. As the embodied carbon in construction accounts for approx. 25-30 % of the GHG emissions of the life cycle of a typical building today, it has to be embedded into a LCA approach for the whole service life.
On CEN-Level as a consequence the general question is: “What can be done in the standards to go further in supporting decarbonisation, resource efficiency and sustainability in the concrete sector in the best possible way.
Values in the annexes are subject to change over time e.g. based on changes in the respective standards.

This document specifies the behaviour of web application programming interfaces (APIs) that provide access to tiles of one or more geospatial data resources (collections) that the web API offers.
This document describes how to:
discover which resources offered by the web API can be retrieved as tiles;

The framework describes the system components and their functions in the AI ecosystem. This document is applicable to all types and sizes of organizations, including public and private companies, government entities, and not-for-profit organizations, that are implementing or using AI systems.

IEC 60444-11:2026 defines the standard method of measuring load resonance frequency fL at the nominal value of CL, and the determination of the effective load capacitance CLeff at the nominal frequency for crystals with the figure of merit M > 4.

The present document establishes a broadcasting standard for the Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) system designed for delivery of high-quality digital audio and video programmes and data services for mobile, portable and fixed reception from terrestrial transmitters in the Very High Frequency (VHF) frequency bands as well as for distribution through cable networks. This document specifies performance requirements for alternative core laminates intended for interior use, the core layer compositions of which are not covered by EN 438-3 [1], EN 438-4 [2], EN 438-5 [3], EN 438-6 [4] and EN 438-8 [5]. This document specifies a method of determining the ability of adhesive bonds to resist static load. It is applicable to adhesives used in load bearing timber structures.
It is applicable for the following applications:
a) for assessing the compliance of adhesives according to EN 301, EN 15425, EN 16254, EN 17334 and EN 17418;
b) for assessing the suitability and quality of adhesives for load-bearing timber structures;
c) for assessing the effect on the bond strength resulting from constant load at different climate conditions.
This method is intended primarily to obtain performance data for the classification of adhesives for load bearing timber structures according to their suitability for use in defined climatic environments.
This method is not intended to provide data for structural design and does not necessarily represent the performance of the bonded member in service.

IEC 61753-042-02:2026 contains the minimum initial performance, test and measurement requirements and severities for plug-pigtail style and plug-receptacle style OTDR reflecting devices to meet the requirements of category C-Controlled environments, as specified in Annex A of IEC 61753-1. These devices are utilized for out-of-band OTDR testing of an optical fibre system. Annex B provides information concerning these devices.

This document specifies a method for the quantitative determination of total uronic acids by High Performance Anion Exchange Chromatography coupled with Pulsed Amperometric Detection (HPAEC-PAD) after acid hydrolysis of the samples for algae and algae products. It specifies a method for the determination in one single analysis of mannuronic, glucuronic and guluronic acids in brown seaweed, and mannuronic and guluronic acids in alginate products. The sum of the individual uronic acid values is used for determining the total uronic acid content.

There are numerous pathways to produce hydrogen. This document specifies a methodology for different hydrogen production pathways for determining the greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions associated with the hydrogen supply chain from the raw material extraction up to the production gate.
This document considers the GHG emissions associated with hydrogen production up to the production gate. This document applies to and includes every step within the production process up to the production gate (see Figure 2 in the Introduction).
NOTE            Complementary documents in the ISO 19870 series will consider hydrogen conditioning, conversion and transport methods.
ISO 14044 requires the goal and scope of a life cycle assessment (LCA) be clearly defined and be consistent with the intended application. This document specifies requirements for data carriers used in a digital product passport system. This covers: symbology characteristics, format, error correction codes, encoding methods, printing and production quality, and durability.
This document also specifies requirements on graphical or other indicators for easy recognition of DPP data carriers and the indication on the data carrier placement, machine readability, quality checking, links between physical product and digital representation.
The following aspects are out of scope: architecture and use cases, secure elements and any other cryptographic security features.

IEC 60268-7:2025 is applicable to headphones, earphones, headsets and earsets, intended to be used on, or in, the human ear. It also applies to equipment, such as pre-amplifiers, passive networks and power supplies which form an integral part of the headphone system.
This document does not deal with:
- safety, for which reference is made to IEC 62368-1 or another appropriate standard;
- the characteristics of microphones of headsets, for which reference is made to IEC 60268‑4;
- earphones and other devices for hearing aids, for which reference is made to IEC 60118-0;

This document specifies the characteristics which are included by the manufacturer in specifications, and relevant methods of measurement. It includes a classification of the different types of earphones, mainly characterized by the way in which the transducer is coupled acoustically to the ear, and a classification code which can also be used for marking. Rated conditions and characteristics in this document provided by the manufacturer are not generally intended for external verification. IEC SRD 63459:2026 specifies the template for smart manufacturing use cases. It is developed for easier storage, search, comparison, and retrieval of use cases from different SDOs and others by having a unified template of use cases.

This document describes a method for the determination of inorganic arsenic in algae and algae products by anion-exchange HPLC-ICP-MS following water bath extraction. The method is specifically designed for seaweeds containing inorganic arsenic and arsenosugar 408 (i.e. sulfate-arsinoylriboside). The peaks of inorganic arsenic and arsenosugar 408 are separated by gradient elution.
The method was initially tested and evaluated on the algae species Ascophyllum nodosum, Fucus vesiculosus and Saccharina latissima. Given the limited number of participating laboratories in the interlaboratory studies, this document is only validated for Ascophyllum nodosum and Saccharina latissima, but it can also be used for other algae species.

This document specifies a gas chromatographic method for ethanol, in which higher alcohols (propan-1-ol, butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, 2-methylpropan-1-ol (iso-butanol), 2-methylbutan-1-ol, and 3-methylbutan-1-ol) from (0,1 up to 2,5) mass percentage, methanol from (0,1 up to 3) mass percentage and other impurities, in the range from (0,1 up to 2) mass percentage are determined.
NOTE 1   The European ethanol blending component specification [1] sets a limit for the combined result of ethanol + higher alcohols, not the ethanol content itself.
The method is developed for non-denatured ethanol samples. With sufficient attention to correct separation of the higher alcohols and other components, determination of hydrocarbons in ethanol that contains denaturants as per EN 15376 [1] is possible.

IEC 60079-0:2026 is available as IEC 60079-0:2026 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition.
IEC 60079-0:2026 specifies the general requirements for construction, testing and marking of Ex Equipment and Ex Components intended for use in or associated with explosive atmospheres.
The standard atmospheric conditions (relating to the explosion characteristics of the atmosphere) for Ex Equipment are:
- temperature −20 °C to +60 °C;
- pressure 80 kPa (0,8 bar) to 110 kPa (1,1 bar); and
- air with normal oxygen content, typically a volume fraction of 21 %.
This IEC 60079-0:2026 and other documents supplementing this document specify additional test requirements for Ex Equipment operating outside the standard temperature range, but in some cases, further additional consideration and additional testing is required for Ex Equipment operating outside the standard atmospheric pressure range and standard oxygen content. Such additional testing is particularly relevant with respect to Types of Protection that depend on quenching of a flame such as 'flameproof enclosures "d"' (IEC 60079-1) or limitation of energy, 'intrinsic safety "i"' (IEC 60079-11). This eighth edition cancels and replaces the seventh edition, published in 2017. This edition constitutes a technical revision.
