This document specifies the method for the determination of the EDTA soluble phosphorus content of inorganic fertilizers. The method is applicable for fertilizers composed of or blended from multiple sources such as superphosphate, ammonium phosphate, triple superphosphate, and/or nitrophosphate. It is not suitable for fertilizers containing calcium magnesium phosphates.

This document specifies limit deviations and limits of sizes for the pitch and crest diameters of the hot-dip galvanized metric external screw threads conforming to the coarse thread series of ISO 262 (from M8 to M64) having a basic profile according to ISO 68-1. This document is applicable to the hot-dip galvanized metric external screw threads to mate with the internal screw threads tapped with tolerance position H or G after galvanizing.

This document determines the fuel quality classes and specifications of graded hog fuel and wood chips for industrial use. It covers only hog fuel and wood chips produced from the following raw materials (see ISO 17225-1, Table 1): —   1.1 Forest, plantation and other virgin wood; —   1.2 By-products and residues from wood processing industry; —   1.3 Used wood; —   1.4 Blends and mixtures. This document covers hog fuel that has pieces of varying size and shape, produced by crushing with blunt tools such as rollers, hammers, or flails, and wood chips which are defined as chipped woody biomass with a sub-rectangular shape and a typical length of 5 mm to 50 mm typically in the form of pieces with a defined particle size produced by mechanical treatment with sharp tools such as knives. See 1.1.2 in ISO 17225-1, Table 1 for by-products and residues from wood processing industry, which can include chemically treated material (e.g. glued, painted, laminated), are not allowed to contain halogenated organic compounds or heavy metals at levels higher than those in typical virgin material values or higher than typical values of the country of origin (see Annex B in ISO 17225-1). NOTE      If 1.4 Blends and mixtures includes 1.3.2 Chemically treated used wood, it can be only used in the installations permitted to use 1.3.2.

This document specifies symbols used to express information supplied for a medical device. This document is applicable to symbols used in a broad spectrum of medical devices, that are available globally and need to meet different regulatory requirements. These symbols can be used on the medical device itself, on its packaging or in the accompanying information. The requirements of this document are not intended to apply to symbols specified in other standards.

This document specifies the methodology to conduct computational modelling of ultraviolet (UV) reactor designs for ballast water management systems (BWMS) that incorporate ultraviolet disinfection technology (UVBWMS). The computational modelling is used to calculate the UV reduction equivalent dose (RED) and to compare calculated REDs of the scaled reactor to its base reactor. REDs are determined using organisms with a given dose response. NOTEÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The IMO requires validation of the computational model. The simulation of a physical UV reactor using a computational model requires that the model be validated (i.e. it performs as intended and reflects the correct physical constraints) and verified (i.e. produces outputs consistent with empirical data). A model developed according to this document is intended to validate the performance of simulated but untested, scaled UV reactors, where the simulation has been verified with test data from base model UV reactors within the product line. As a complete UV BWMS typically incorporates other treatment methodologies such as filters, the impact of changes to external subsystem performance on the overall BWMS is not considered in this document.

This document specifies: —   requirements for the operational design domain, —   system requirements, —   minimum performance requirements, and —   performance test procedures for the safe operation of low-speed automated driving (LSAD) systems for operation on predefined routes. LSAD systems are designed to operate at Level 4 automation (see ISO/SAE PAS 22736), within specific operational design domains (ODD). This document applies to automated driving system-dedicated vehicles (ADS-DVs) and can also be utilized by dual-mode vehicles (see ISO/SAE PAS 22736). This document does not specify sensor technology present in vehicles driven by LSAD systems.

This document specifies requirements for the information to be provided by the medical device manufacturer for the processing of critical or semi-critical medical devices (i.e. a medical device that enters normally sterile parts of the human body or a medical device that comes into contact with mucous membranes or non-intact skin) or medical devices that are intended to be sterilized. This includes information for processing prior to use or reuse of the medical device. Processing instructions are not defined in this document. Rather, this document specifies requirements to assist manufacturers of medical devices in providing detailed processing instructions that consist of the following activities, where applicable: a) initial treatment at the point of use; b) preparation before cleaning; c) cleaning; d) disinfection; e) drying; f) inspection and maintenance; g) packaging; h) sterilization; i) storage; j) transportation. This document excludes processing of the following: —   non-critical medical devices unless they are intended to be sterilized; —   textile devices used in patient draping systems or surgical clothing; —   medical devices specified by the manufacturer for single use only and supplied ready for use. NOTE      See ISO 17664-2:2021, Annex E, for further guidance on the application of the ISO 17664 series to a medical device.

This document specifies limit deviations for pitch and crest diameters for ISO general purpose metric screw threads (M) conforming to ISOÂ 261 having basic profile in accordance with ISOÂ 68-1. The limit deviations specified are derived from the fundamental deviations and tolerances specified in ISOÂ 965-1. This document is applicable to ISO general purpose metric screw threads with the recommended tolerance classes.

This document specifies the requirements for determining the maximum propulsion power rating using manoeuvring speed for engine-driven craft with a length of the hull (LH, as defined in ISO 8666) between 8 m and 24 m. This document is applicable to craft with a calculated Froude number (Fn) ≥ 1,1. This document is not applicable to: —   inflatable craft, as defined by ISO 6185-4; —   craft designed and constructed solely for competitive racing (racing craft); —   craft primarily designed not to be engine driven. This document does not specify craft constructional strength requirements related to maximum propulsion power rating and does not guarantee stability under all conditions of seaway, wind, wakes and waves.

This document specifies a test method for the determination of the air-purification performance of materials that contain a photocatalyst or have photocatalytic films on the surface, usually made from semiconducting metal oxides, such as titanium dioxide or other ceramic materials, by continuous exposure of a test piece to the model air pollutant under irradiation with long-wave ultraviolet (UV) light. This document is intended for use with different kinds of materials, such as construction materials in flat sheet, board or plate shape, that are the basic forms of materials for various applications. This document also applies to structured filter materials including honeycomb-form, woven and non-woven fabrics, and to plastic or paper materials if they contain ceramic microcrystals and composites. This document does not apply to powder or granular photocatalytic materials. This test method is usually applicable to photocatalytic materials produced for air purification. This method is not suitable for the determination of other performance attributes of photocatalytic materials, i.e. decomposition of water contaminants, self-cleaning, antifogging and antibacterial actions. It concerns the removal of methyl mercaptan.

This document specifies the test method for the determination of total electrical conductivity of conductive fine ceramics by the DC (direct current) four-terminal method. The test method applies to conductive fine ceramics which have an ionic transference number of 0,01 or less. The applicable conductivity range is from 1 S cm−1 to 1 000 S cm−1 and the temperature range is up to 1 000 °C. The values expressed in the test method are in accordance with the International System of Units (SI). This document is intended for industrial product quality control and material development of conductive fine ceramics used in electrodes, e.g. fuel cells, batteries and water electrolysis.

This document specifies methods of determining nanoparticle size and shape distributions by acquiring and evaluating scanning electron microscope images and by obtaining and reporting accurate results. NOTEÂ 1Â Â Â This document applies to particles with a lower size limit that depends on the required uncertainty and on the suitable performance of the SEM, which is to be proven first -according to the requirements described in this document. NOTEÂ 2Â Â Â This document applies also to SEM-based size and shape measurements of larger than nanoscale particles.

This document determines the fuel quality classes and specifications of graded firewood. This document covers only firewood produced from the following raw materials (see ISO 17725‑1:2021, Table 1): —   1.1.1 Whole trees without roots; —   1.1.3 Stem wood; —   1.1.4 Logging residues (thick branches, tops etc.); —   1.2.1 Chemically untreated by-products and residues from wood processing industry.

This document specifies requirements and test methods of rollators being used as assistive products for walking with wheels, manipulated by both arms, without accessories, unless specified in the particular test procedure. This document also gives requirements relating to safety, ergonomics, performance and information supplied by the manufacturer including marking and labelling. The requirements and tests are based on every-day use of rollators as assistive products for walking for a maximum user mass as specified by the manufacturer. This document includes rollators specified for a user mass of no less than 35Â kg. This document is not applicable to rollators with horizontal forearm supports, classified as walking tables, for which ISOÂ 11199-3 is applicable.

This document is applicable to the entire process of basic manual semen examination and also to sample preparation for Computer-Aided Sperm Analysis (CASA). This document does not apply to the post-vasectomy assessments. NOTE      Given the medico-legal ramifications surrounding the evaluation of post-vasectomy ejaculates, the methodology in this document is in all likelihood inadequate to establish an ejaculate as being completely “clear” (i.e. no spermatozoa in the ejaculate).

This document addresses the provision of background references that are helpful in defining a more detailed specification for SRF according to its specific end use for energy conversion (EfW plants) and to support the SRF market. The aim is to enable all the interested stakeholders – producers, end users, legislators, local authority bodies and standardization bodies – to guarantee that the SRF complies fully with technical, environmental and economic requirements and to facilitate its social acceptability when utilized for energy conversion. This document is intended to provide references for the specification of SRF produced from non-hazardous waste streams and traded to EfW plants as waste. The quality of such SRF is specified through values for relevant fuel properties, appropriate to the subsequent end uses that have an expected growth or an established/well consolidated role in heat and power generation in waste-to-energy systems: —   coal co-combustion in cement kilns, —   gasification, —   coal co-combustion in power plants. The SRF can also be used in other end-use applications but these are not addressed in this document.

It applies to cable over pulley steering systems, whether for pedestal or bulkhead types. This document does not address emergency means of steering the craft.

This document establishes a classification of fan efficiency for all jet fan types driven by motors with an electrical input power range from 5,5Â kW to 155Â kW (and this is likely to be in the size range 500Â mm to 1600Â mm diameter with motors rated between 5,5Â kW and 150Â kW from IECÂ 60034-30-1). This document is not applicable to jet fans for use in enclosed car parks. This document can be used by legislators or regulatory bodies for defining future energy saving targets.

This document specifies requirements for systems that are used to produce offset prints for process colour reproduction on metallic substrates, which have been printed with a white coating. It is intended for flat printed sheet metal applications. It does not cover shaped or pre-formed metal such as pre-formed cans. Recommendations are provided with regard to appropriate test methods associated with these requirements. This document differs from the method used to produce an offset print on paper or board in ISOÂ 12647-2 in that it considers the colour values of a typical white coated metal substrate intended for metal decoration, using offset lithography and substrates that are independent of backing colour.
